Sindhu Gangadharan, chairperson of Nasscom and managing director of SAP India, criticized global tech giants such as Meta and Amazon for reducing their focus on diversity initiatives, describing the trend as 'unfortunate'. She called on businesses to remain committed to their core beliefs.

Gangadharan made it clear that no leading corporation has completely abandoned the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda. She expressed concern that certain politically driven statements from major companies could have a 'negative ripple effect' globally, while reiterating the importance of diversity for global success.

Speaking at the Nasscom Technology Leadership Forum, Gangadharan stressed that companies like SAP India are dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture. She argued that diversity is not just a matter of ethical commitment but is also essential for meeting customer needs and succeeding in a global market.
