Decades after communal violence forced its closure, a temple in Moradabad's Daulatabagh has reopened, reviving a piece of local heritage. Officials confirmed the reopening on Monday, noting that it follows a trend of similar revivals across Uttar Pradesh.
The administrative efforts included a police and municipal team who peacefully facilitated the temple's return to service. The move has been notably free of opposition, and local residents have shown cooperation, according to Nagphani Police Inspector Sunil Kumar.
In the wake of the reopening, authorities discovered that some idols had been misplaced or were missing. Restoration efforts are underway, supported by local authorities to ensure the temple is prepared for regular worship without incidents.
