Tragedy Strikes: Pilgrim's Path to Celebration Ends in Tragedy
Rajesh Kumar, a Pakistani Hindu pilgrim, was shot dead by robbers while on his way to Guru Nanak Dev's birth anniversary celebrations in Nankana Sahib. Kumar was traveling with companions when they were intercepted by gunmen demanding money. Despite being hospitalized, Kumar succumbed to his injuries.

A Hindu pilgrim from Pakistan was tragically killed ahead of community celebrations honoring Guru Nanak Dev's 555th birth anniversary in Nankana Sahib, police report.
Rajesh Kumar, hailing from Larkana in Sindh province, traveled with his friend and brother-in-law from Lahore when they were attacked by robbers on the Mananwala-Nankana Sahib Road.
Kumar was shot after resisting the attackers, who stole a substantial amount of cash before fleeing. He later died in hospital from his injuries. A formal investigation is underway.
