Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked Guru Nanak Jayanti by urging people to uphold the spiritual teachings of Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh. Addressing attendees at Gurudwara Patel Nagar in Alambagh, he highlighted how these traditions have evolved into a powerful source of spiritual guidance.
Adityanath reminisced about the 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, mentioning a Kirtan Yatra held five years ago at his residence. He pointed out that for four years, Veer Balidani Diwas has been commemorated to honor Guru Gobind Singh Ji's four Sahibzadas' sacrifices.
The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for declaring 26 December as Veer Bal Diwas, aiming to inspire youth to connect with their religion and country. He emphasized that such traditions are vital in bonding society with its heritage, preventing it from being enslaved and ensuring the welfare of future generations.
