Governor Parnaik emphasized that the courage and fortitude exhibited by these veterans remain etched in the hearts of every Arunachali, ensuring their deeds are remembered for generations. His visit coincided with a light and sound show that vividly depicted the historic Battle of Walong.
In celebration of 'Walong Day,' the governor participated in festivities alongside Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar and Major General VS Deshpande, which included a traditional 'barakhana' with the troops, marking an event of camaraderie and reflection.
