  • India

The Dadri Fair saw an unusual occurrence on Tuesday as two inaugural ceremonies were conducted separately by Samajwadi Party MP Sanatan Pandey and BJP's Uttar Pradesh Minister Dayashankar Singh. The dual inaugurations brought attention to a growing rift between the political leaders.

Pandey, who performed the ceremony earlier, explained that he acted due to an unforeseen rescheduling and the necessity to align with the auspicious muhurat. He criticized the BJP for inconsistency between their religious rhetoric and actions.

Despite Pandey's early proceedings, Singh proceeded with his inauguration later in the day, standing alongside Ballia Nagar Palika Parishad Chairman Sant Kumar Mithai Lal Gupta and other local BJP leaders. Official comments on the dual ceremonies were not provided, while the Dadri Fair, famous for its vast cattle market, continues until month's end.
