In a remarkable achievement, Kerala government employee Shaikh Hassan Khan has successfully ascended Mount Kosciusko, the highest peak in Australia, thereby completing his goal of conquering the tallest peaks across all seven continents.
Khan, a fervent advocate for climate change awareness and global peace, has scaled formidable mountains including Mount Vinson in Antarctica, Mount Everest in Asia, North America's Mount Denali, Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Europe's Mount Elbrus, and Mount Aconcagua in South America. He also summited Ojos del Salado, the tallest active volcano situated on the Argentina-Chile border.
Khan proudly raised the Indian flag atop Mount Kosciusko on November 10, celebrating his global mountaineering feat. Currently on leave from his government duties, Khan spoke with PTI about his ongoing mission to inspire and educate the world through his ascents.
