Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched a seaplane demonstration flight from Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada to Srisailam, aiming to boost the state's tourism industry by linking major spiritual and natural landmarks.
After a 40-minute flight aboard the seaplane, which offered a smoother landing compared to traditional flights, Naidu addressed a press conference in Srisailam. He highlighted the benefits of such services for the tourism sector, which he identified as a significant employment generator, and announced plans to establish regular seaplane routes by March.
Naidu also detailed plans for transforming Srisailam and surrounding areas, including Nallamala forest and Gandikota, into tourist hotspots by introducing initiatives like tiger safaris and adventure sports. He emphasized the importance of tourism development and assured strict measures against those who misuse social media to malign women.
