Ricky Kej and Anoushka Shankar have been nominated for the prestigious 67th Grammy Awards, bringing international recognition to Indian music. Kej, already a three-time Grammy honoree, secured his fourth nomination with 'Break of Dawn' under the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category, announced recently by the Recording Academy.

Joining him in this category is Shankar, nominated for her work 'Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn'. Other contenders include 'Warriors of Light' by Radhika Vekaria and 'Triveni', a collaboration involving entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon. Shankar also earned a separate nomination for her part in Jacob Collier's song "A Rock Somewhere."

The 2025 Grammy Awards are slated for February 2 at the iconic Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. These nominations highlight the global influence and reach of Indian artists, who continue to break cultural barriers with their compelling works. Such accolades emphasize the thriving nature of the country's independent music scene.
