Kerala celebrated its 68th formation day, known as Keralappiravi, with prominent leaders like Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra extending their wishes to the people of the state.
Governor Khan, expressing his thoughts through a Facebook video message, lauded Kerala's unique developmental journey since its inception. He emphasized the state's high human development indices, especially in literacy, healthcare, and quality of life, attributing these achievements to its commitment to social welfare and sustainability.
Chief Minister Vijayan echoed similar sentiments, highlighting Kerala's dedication to democracy, secularism, and social justice. He warned of the current threats posed by communal forces and urged the state to continue its tradition of inclusivity and progress. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, contesting in the Wayanad bypoll, also joined in celebrating the occasion.
