On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked Diwali with a visit to the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya, offering prayers in a ceremony officials have called historic.
Adityanath also paid respects at the Hanuman Garhi temple. He expressed heartfelt Diwali greetings, noting the return of Ram Lalla to his home after 500 years.
Celebrating Ayodhya's cultural legacy, the government is re-establishing the 'Deepotsav' event. Meanwhile, former CM Mayawati wished everyone a joyous Diwali, Bhai Dooj, and Chhath Puja on social media, highlighting communal festivities.
