Sarojini Sahoo Honored with Odisha's Prestigious Sarala Puraskar
Noted fiction writer Sarojini Sahoo has been awarded the Sarala Puraskar for her novel 'Asthira Pada'. This prestigious honor is bestowed by the Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust to recognize literary achievement. Alongside, Sudarshan Sahoo and Tansen Singh were awarded the Ila-Bansidhar Panda Kala Samman.

On Wednesday, noted fiction writer Sarojini Sahoo was honored with the prestigious Sarala Puraskar at a function in Odisha. The award acknowledges her work in the novel 'Asthira Pada', reinforcing her prominent status in literary circles.
The Sarala Puraskar, comprising a copper plaque and Rs 7 lakh, is an initiative of the Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT) to celebrate literary excellence. Prominent poet and fictionist Devdas Chhotray presented the award to Dr. Sahoo.
The ceremony also witnessed the conferment of the 'Ila-Bansidhar Panda Kala Samman' on sculpting artist Sudarshan Sahoo and playback singer Tansen Singh. Each received a citation plaque and Rs 2.5 lakh. The awards, as emphasized by IMPaCT Trustee Ms. Paramita Panda, aim to ensure artists continue their creative pursuits without financial hindrance.
