Major General Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva has concluded his distinguished military career as the additional director general of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh, effective Wednesday.
Sachdeva's tenure was marked by transformative efforts that empowered youth and advanced NCC's operations. On Canal Road, he received a ceremonial farewell, where he encouraged personnel to persist in their endeavors towards youth empowerment, a defense spokesperson reported.
Throughout his 37-and-a-half-year service, Maj. Gen. Sachdeva held varied roles, significantly advancing NCC's initiatives. A record number of cadets were trained in cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, a testament to his impactful leadership. Furthermore, he facilitated numerous cadets joining defense forces, earning unit citations from Lt Governors of Ladakh and J&K.
