Sachdeva's tenure was marked by transformative efforts that empowered youth and advanced NCC's operations. On Canal Road, he received a ceremonial farewell, where he encouraged personnel to persist in their endeavors towards youth empowerment, a defense spokesperson reported.

Throughout his 37-and-a-half-year service, Maj. Gen. Sachdeva held varied roles, significantly advancing NCC's initiatives. A record number of cadets were trained in cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, a testament to his impactful leadership.
