Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin led tributes to Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar, a celebrated freedom fighter, on his 117th birth anniversary. A memorial event was held in Pasumpon, where political leaders gathered to honor his legacy.
Governor R N Ravi, alongside former Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and various party leaders, paid their respects. Stalin and his cabinet marked the occasion by garlanding a statue of Thevar in the Temple City, recalling his courageous spirit and lifelong dedication to India's independence.
Muthuramalinga Thevar, revered for his nationalism and fight for the underprivileged, was a key figure in the freedom struggle. His role alongside Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was highlighted, inspiring thousands to join the fight against British colonial rule. Leaders reaffirmed his enduring influence and commemorated his spiritual and nationalistic vision.
