State Industries Minister P Rajeeve emphasized the need for stringent measures to prevent similar incidents. A comprehensive report by the district administration will guide future actions.
Minister Rajeeve, who examined the accident site, assured that all elements of the incident, including legal permissions for fireworks and changes in firecracker storage, would be scrutinized. The district administration has tasked the additional divisional magistrate with conducting a detailed inquiry.
The fire occurred during a Theyyam performance at Anjoottanbalam Veererkavu Temple, injuring 154 people. Authorities have registered a case under the Explosive Substance Act, highlighting serious lapses in safety protocols.
