Renowned for his portrayal of Tony Stark, Academy Award-winner Robert Downey Jr. has taken a firm stance against the use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) to recreate his image for future projects. Speaking on 'On With Kara Swisher', alongside Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar and Tony-winning director Bartlett Sher, Downey engaged in a riveting discussion about AI's growing influence in modern storytelling, according to Deadline.

When questioned about deepfakes and AI, Downey candidly stated, "There's two tracks. I feel about it minimally because I have an actual emotional life that's occurring that doesn't have a lot of room for that." Nevertheless, he expressed trust in Marvel's leadership, asserting, "I'm not worried about them hijacking my character's soul," as reported by Deadline.

Swisher humorously pointed out potential changes with future executives, to which Downey light-heartedly quipped, "I intend to sue all future executives just on spec." His jest was met with laughter, as Swisher likened him to Elvis Presley.

Despite his apprehensions, Downey invests in AI companies, underscoring the significance of ethical practices. He reflected, "It always comes down to not the technology itself but the people behind it."

Currently, Downey captivates audiences with his performance in 'McNeal', portraying a Nobel Prize-winning novelist utilizing AI. While reviews are mixed, his role has been praised. Fans eagerly anticipate Downey's return to the MCU, as Dr. Doom in 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars', as per Deadline.
