An Israeli airstrike on a media compound in southeast Lebanon resulted in the deaths of three journalists. An Israeli airstrike targeting a compound housing journalists in southeast Lebanon has tragically claimed the lives of three media staffers, as reported by Lebanon's state-run National News Agency.
The Beirut-based pan-Arab Al-Mayadeen TV confirmed that two of its employees were among those killed in the early Friday strike. Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar TV further reported the death of its camera operator, Wissam Qassim, in the Hasbaya region, previously untouched by intense border conflicts.
Eye-witness footage from Al Jadeed, a local news station, depicted the aftermath: chalets rented out to media bodies reduced to rubble and PRESS-marked vehicles dust-covered. Disturbingly, the Israeli military provided no prior warning before the attack. Earlier this week, an Israeli missile hit Al-Mayadeen's Beirut office outskirts, increasing the toll of journalists killed or wounded in ongoing cross-border violence.
