The upcoming International Gita Mahotsav is scheduled to take place in Kurukshetra from November 28 to December 15, according to an official statement released on Thursday. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, also the vice president of the Kurukshetra Development Board, led a review meeting to discuss preparations for the event.
Tanzania and Odisha have been announced as the partner country and state, respectively, for this year's festivities. A special focus on cleanliness throughout Kurukshetra has been emphasized by the chief minister, who urged involvement from social and religious institutions, resident associations, and the district's youth. The 'Divya Kurukshetra' campaign will be launched as part of this effort.
The main events are slated for December 5 to 11, culminating in a grand celebration on December 11. Plans include a national-level exhibition and live broadcasts across notable religious sites in India. Social media will play a crucial role in expanding the festival's reach.
