According to Kriti, she appreciated the collaborative atmosphere while working with Kajol and enjoyed performing 'meaty scenes' together, something missing from their prior collaboration.'Do Patti', penned by Kanika Dhillon and helmed by first-time director Shashanka Chaturvedi, is set against the backdrop of a fictional town, focusing on twin sisters and a tenacious police inspector played by Kajol.

Notably, several female Bollywood stars, including Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra, are turning to film production. Kajol embraced this trend, seeing it as a significant step for women in the industry. 'Do Patti' also features TV icon Shaheer Sheikh and actors Tanvi Azmi and Brijendra Kala.
