Oscar, the celebrated police dog who detected explosives near Mukesh Ambani's residence in 2021, has officially retired, marking the end of a decade-long service. Oscar, along with fellow canine colleague Mylo, was honored during a farewell ceremony attended by several police officers.
Having joined the Mumbai police's Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad in 2014, Oscar was integral to tasks such as thwarting bomb threats and ensuring VIP security. Notably, Oscar identified gelatine sticks near the Antilia residence, proving his stellar service.
Recognizing their contributions, a special arrangement including air conditioning at their shelter and an AC vehicle for transport was made for Oscar and Mylo. A 'wall of fame' was also established to commemorate their exceptional careers.
