Nikita Powal Crowned Femina Miss India World 2024

Nikita Powal, a native of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, has been crowned Femina Miss India World 2024 at a dazzling ceremony held in Mumbai last week. Her journey from TV anchor to actress has now culminated in this significant accomplishment, as she brings pride to her home state.

In an exclusive conversation with ANI, Nikita expressed her elation, describing the title as both a cherished dream and the product of immense effort from herself and her parents. Despite her hometown's lack of history in the pageant scene, her unwavering determination paved the way to victory. She shared, 'This achievement is not just my dream but symbolizes the relentless hard work of my parents and me. Coming from Ujjain, where no one had previously embarked on such a journey, was challenging, but with determination, pathways emerge.'

Nikita was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Nandini Gupta, while actress Neha Dhupia presented the sash. Alongside her, Rekha Panday from Union Territories and Ayushi Dholakia from Gujarat secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. As the new Femina Miss India World, Nikita will compete in the upcoming Miss World pageant, following in the footsteps of icons such as Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra. (ANI)
