Gorman will officially assume the chairman role on January 2, 2025. He will replace Mark Parker, who is stepping down after nine years of service on Disney's board.
Currently heading Disney's succession planning committee, Gorman also holds the position of executive chairman at Morgan Stanley, a role he is set to leave by year-end.
