Electric Light Orchestra, the renowned band famous for infusing classical sounds into rock and pop hits, will deliver their final performance in London's Hyde Park next July, as announced by organizers on Monday. The group, formed in Birmingham in 1970, captivated audiences with hits like 'Mr. Blue Sky' and 'Evil Woman'.

The band secured a series of successful albums throughout the 70s and 80s, including the notable 'Discovery' in 1979 and the sci-fi-inspired 'Time' in 1981. After its formation, co-founder Jeff Lynne took over as the primary songwriter for ELO.

Though ELO experienced various line-up changes, Lynne and drummer Bev Bevan remained core members until the band's dissolution in 1986. Revived as Jeff Lynne's ELO in 2014, they performed at Hyde Park again. Jeff Lynne, currently touring the United States, expressed that Hyde Park is an ideal location for their final show.
