A unique cross-border wedding was celebrated in Uttar Pradesh when a BJP leader's son married a Pakistani woman via an online 'nikah'.
Tahseen Shahid had arranged for his son, Mohammad Abbas Haider, to wed Andleep Zahra, hailing from Lahore. Political tensions, however, stalled his visa application.
Compounding their challenges, the bride's mother became critically ill in Pakistan, pushing Shahid to embrace technology for conducting the virtual ceremony. Esteemed guests, including BJP MLC Brijesh Singh Prishu, attended the online event, signifying a union that transcended borders.
