Renowned filmmaker Anil Sharma, known for mega-hits like 'Gadar' and 'Gadar 2', is preparing for his latest venture 'Apne Hi Apno Ko Dete Hai: Vanvaas'. In an interview with ANI, Sharma expressed his dedication to meaningful storytelling amid compelling pressures to produce another action blockbuster post 'Gadar 2'.

Addressing the film's theme, Sharma revealed its focus on the emotional neglect of the elderly. 'An old man sitting at home needs nothing from you; he just wishes for some time,' Sharma elucidated, highlighting society's failure to provide companionship to older generations.

Sharma also discussed casting Nana Patekar, citing the actor's fresh appeal and his captivating dynamic with co-star Utkarsh, captured beautifully across shooting locations in Varanasi and Shimla. The film, under Zee Studios, aims for a December release, with teasers to precede it.
