Joseph Malinowsky, popularly known as 'Lt. Dan' on TikTok, has been taken into custody in Tampa, Florida. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested the 54-year-old man Friday for charges including trespassing and failure to address earlier charges of operating an unregistered vehicle and driving without a license.
Malinowsky garnered widespread attention for his audacious decision to stay on his boat during Hurricanes Helene and Milton, despite urgent calls from authorities to evacuate.
He continues to be incarcerated, as reflected in online jail records, and he currently lacks legal representation to speak on his behalf.
