Controversy has erupted at the Government Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore after claims of a Halloween party held in the historic King Edward Medical School building. The medical community responded by purifying the 150-year-old premises, believed to be defaced with obscene images and graffiti.
The college management vehemently denies granting permission for the party, which was reportedly organized without their consent. Medical Teachers' Association president Rahul Rokde emphasized the need for accountability, urging the college to take legal action against those responsible for desecrating the heritage site.
Amidst differing accounts, Superintendent Dr Sumit Shukla and others have called for the renovation of the dilapidated building, arguing for the preservation of Indore's medical history and heritage. An investigation has been promised to uncover the truth behind these allegations.
