A Bengaluru court has ordered the filing of an FIR against Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and others, accusing them of extorting money through electoral bonds. In response, NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule announced on Monday that direct questions will be posed to the government regarding these serious allegations.

Speaking to ANI, Sule expressed her shock and disappointment, highlighting her prior respect for Sitharaman. 'It's very painful and shocking for me because she (Nirmala) is a very fine woman who we have worked very closely with. I hope this is not true. When the Parliament starts in November, we will be asking questions to the government,' Sule stated.

Additionally, the Maharashtra assembly election seat-sharing process is underway, according to Sule, who noted ongoing discussions would bring more clarity in the next few days.

In Karnataka, Minister and Congress leader Priyank Kharge criticized Sitharaman over the electoral bonds, alleging that she was the 'architect' of a bill deemed illegal and unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. He supported the court's decision to uphold the complaint against her.

Furthermore, Congress MP and advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi denounced the BJP, demanding Sitharaman's resignation. He accused the BJP of using the electoral bonds to favor firms, easing their issues with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in exchange for purchasing bonds.
