Trailblazing Teen Sherpa Scales New Heights

Nima Rinji Sherpa made history by becoming the youngest person to successfully climb the world's 14 highest peaks, achieving the feat at just 18 years old. His triumphant return to Nepal was met with a hero's welcome from the nation and the mountaineering community.
Reaching the summit of Mount Shishapangma in China last week, Nima Rinji broke the previous record held by a 30-year-old Sherpa, highlighting the immense skill and determination within the Sherpa community. Nepal's Tourism Minister and fellow Sherpas were among those who greeted him upon his return in Kathmandu.
Nima Rinji's family has a rich heritage in mountaineering, running Seven Summits Treks in Nepal. The young climber took to social media to dedicate his achievement to Sherpas breaking free from historical roles as support staff and embracing new opportunities as trailblazers.
