Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin took center stage on Wednesday, distributing appointment letters to newly recruited Assistant Agriculture Officers and others hired on compassionate grounds. The appointments were processed through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
In a touching tribute, Stalin commemorated freedom martyr Immanuel Sekaran, echoing his enduring impact on civil rights and social justice. He also unveiled statues of Venni Kaladi and Kuyili, remarkable freedom fighters, at the Secretariat.
Further cementing the state's gratitude towards its historical figures, Stalin remotely unveiled a statue and memorial for Venkatapathi Ethalapar Nayakkar in Tiruppur. The projects, totaling Rs 3.60 crore, underscore Tamil Nadu's commitment to honoring those who resisted colonial oppression.
