Lee Wei Ling, daughter of Singapore's founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, has died at the age of 69, her brother announced on Wednesday.

Lee Hsien Yang, her brother, disclosed her passing through a Facebook post, stating she died at her home on 38 Oxley Road, also the iconic residence of their father.

Lee Wei Ling, a respected paediatric neurologist, faced a long battle with a rare degenerative brain disease. Her death also revives public interest in the family dispute over their late father's estate.
