Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness commenced a historic four-day visit to India on Monday, aiming to bolster bilateral ties in crucial areas such as trade and investment.
This marks the first-ever bilateral visit by a Jamaican prime minister to India. Holness is set to hold comprehensive discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, with expectations of finalizing several agreements to enhance collaboration across various sectors.
Expressing optimism on social media, Holness stated, ''I look forward to the important and impactful discussions we will have as we explore new areas of cooperation and further deepen the bonds of friendship between India and Jamaica.'' His itinerary also includes a visit to Varanasi on Wednesday.
