Controversy Erupts Over Alleged Adulteration of Tirupati Laddus

Controversy has erupted over allegations of adulteration in the famous laddus made at the Tirupati Venkateswara temple. A complaint was filed on Wednesday in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, accusing the temple trust members of "hurting religious sentiments of Hindus."
The row centers around alleged use of animal fat in the laddus, prompting the Andhra Pradesh government to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter.
Lawyer Sudhir Kumar Ojha from Muzaffarpur filed the complaint in the CJM court, seeking registration of an FIR against the trustees for alleged hurt caused to the Hindu community's religious sentiments. "This incident is an attack on Hindu sentiments... it undermines the faith of crores of Hindus. It must be thoroughly investigated," Ojha stated. The court is set to hear the case on October 19.
