A woman employee collapsed and died at a private bank in the Vibhuti Khand area, police reported on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, and the cause of her death remains unknown.

Sadaf Fatima, 40, who worked with the private bank, collapsed at the office. Colleagues rushed her to a nearby government hospital where she was declared dead, stated Sunil Kumar Singh, SHO of Vibhuti Khand.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.

No complaint has been filed by the family members of the deceased. Further action will depend on post-mortem results, Singh added.

A relative mentioned that Fatima was the sole breadwinner of her family.

Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav expressed concerns, stating that the news raises questions about working conditions in organizations.

This incident symbolizes the economic pressure in the country and calls for serious consideration by companies and government departments to improve work conditions, Yadav commented in a Hindi post on X on Tuesday.

Yadav additionally blamed the BJP government's failed economic policies, suggesting that these have forced companies to increase workload on fewer employees to sustain their business.
