In a historic undertaking, Lt Commander Dilna K and Lt Commander Roopa A of the Indian Navy will embark on an extraordinary expedition to circumnavigate the globe. The journey, set to commence on October 2, will cover 21,600 nautical miles, equivalent to approximately 40,000 km, over an arduous eight-month period.

Their route will take them through some of the world's most perilous waters, including the challenging passage around the three great capes: Cape Leeuwin, Cape Horn, and the Cape of Good Hope, according to Navy officials.

This voyage, conducted onboard the Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini, underscores the essence of India's maritime prowess and commitment to greater causes, Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan stated.
