For 10 months, mounting allegations of widespread sexual abuse have swirled around Sean 'Diddy' Combs, threatening his business empire and fatherly image cultivated since the 1990s. On Tuesday, a sweeping indictment was unsealed, alleging years of sex trafficking and conspiracy, to which Combs pleaded not guilty.

The indictment accuses Combs of using his 'power and prestige' to run a sordid empire of sexual crimes, including sex trafficking, forced labor, and drug offenses. It details lavish, drug-fueled sexual performances dubbed 'Freak Offs,' arranged and recorded by Combs, often lasting days. Prosecutors claim Combs abused and coerced women, using blackmail and violence, facilitated by his network of associates.

Combs' attorney, Marc Agnifilo, declared his client's innocence and announced plans to appeal the bail decision. Notably, many of the allegations echo claims made by Combs' former girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura. Prosecutors stated that evidence included financial records, electronic data, and videos to prove their case. Conviction on all charges could result in a mandatory 15-year sentence, with the possibility of life imprisonment.
