Snoop Dogg, the renowned rapper, successfully balanced fatherhood and his rising music career in the 1990s, despite the challenges. He released his debut album Doggystyle in November 1993 and welcomed his first son, Corde Broadus, in August 1994.

One significant contributor to his son's upbringing was Snoop's friend and colleague, Tupac Shakur. Snoop fondly recalled how Shakur helped care for Corde, especially during the creation of his second album, Tha Doggfather. 'Tupac loved him. It's like his nephew,' Snoop said, adding that Shakur often took care of Corde during studio sessions.

Tragically, Tupac Shakur was killed in a drive-by shooting in September 1996, ending his support role with Corde. Snoop later welcomed his second son, Cordell Broadus, in 1997 and used Tupac's advice to become a better father. He later founded the Snoop Youth Football League in 2005, providing opportunities for inner-city kids.
