Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted engineers on Engineer's Day, acknowledging their pivotal role in driving progress across various fields as well as their ability to innovate and tackle critical challenges.
''Engineers Day greetings to all engineers who are driving progress in every field, innovating and solving critical challenges,'' Modi stated on X.
He also paid homage to Sir M. Visvesvaraya, a legendary engineer and statesman whose contributions are widely recognized, noting that the day is observed in his honor.
The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, a former diwan of the Mysore kingdom, who is credited with many pioneering engineering feats.
