External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, in a Friday interaction with the Indian community in Geneva, declared that while he welcomes international commentary on Indian politics, other nations should be ready to hear his views on their political affairs.
During the session, Jaishankar addressed topics ranging from women's safety in India to India's record on human rights. He underscored India's tolerance and diversity, contrasting it with Western countries which, he argues, have suppressed their own pluralism.
Jaishankar also spoke on logistical challenges in providing voting rights to NRIs and highlighted India's infrastructural growth over the past decade. The event concluded with cultural performances and honors to Indian reformers, capping off his speech on India's strides in technology, innovation, and education.
