Irish designer Paul Costelloe took fashion enthusiasts on a Parisian journey with his spring collection at London Fashion Week. The British capital has picked up the baton for the season's catwalks.

Costelloe, aged 79, presented a line named 'Le ciel est bleu' (the sky is blue), centered around four pastel hues: blue, pink, yellow, and green. The collection also marks the debut of his new bridal line. Against a backdrop painted with a Parisian boulevard and set to French music, the show opened with all-blue outfits.

Models showcased linen and check ensembles, tweed dresses and jackets, and playful jacquard frocks, adorned with floral prints and ruffles. Costelloe described the collection as 'very young, happy, and positive.'

Recalling the influence of 60s and 70s fashion, Costelloe highlighted the lasting impact of Parisian couture on his work. Meanwhile, London Fashion Week, renowned for fostering emerging talent, celebrates its 40th anniversary, featuring renowned brands like Burberry, Erdem, and Simone Rocha. BFC Chief Executive Caroline Rush emphasized Britain's fashion heritage of creativity and expression, themes expected to shine throughout the event.
