Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana paid a visit to the renowned Lalbaugcha Raja to seek blessings from Ganpati Bappa amid the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. Khurrana, who has garnered acclaim for his roles in films like 'Barfi', donned a traditional white kurta paired with a colorful stole for the occasion.

The actor took to Instagram late Thursday night to share a snapshot from his visit, featuring himself in front of the iconic Ganesh idol accompanied by a sticker reading 'Ganpati Bappa Morya'. The Lalbaugcha Raja, a cornerstone of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, continues to draw thousands of devotees annually.

The grand idol, showcased by the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, ranks among Mumbai's most anticipated and revered figures during the festival. This year's festive season kicked off on September 5 with the unveiling of the idol's first look, drawing much fanfare.

Established in 1934, the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, situated in Putlabai Chawl, has been a place of reverence for over eight decades. The Kambli family, who have been the custodians of the celebrations and the idol, continue to preserve this cherished tradition.

The ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival, which commenced on September 6, culminates on Anantha Chaturdashi. Devotees nationwide and abroad welcome Ganesh idols into their homes, perform prayers, and visit various pandals, contributing to the vibrant and spiritual atmosphere.

On the professional front, Ayushmann Khurrana is set to appear in ace director Meghna Gulzar's upcoming film 'Daayra', alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. Produced by Junglee Pictures, the project has yet to receive an official announcement. (ANI)
