Mourning the Loss of CPI(M) Leader Sitaram Yechury
Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over the death of CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury. Gehlot praised Yechury’s loyalty and deep political understanding. Expressing grief over the death of CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday acknowledged Yechury's firm loyalty to his ideology.
''The news of the death of senior CPI-M leader Sitaram Yechury is very sad. Sitaram Yechury was very hardworking and loyal to his ideology," Gehlot stated. He highlighted Yechury's deep understanding of both national and international political issues, calling his departure a significant loss for Indian politics.
Yechury died on Thursday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi at the age of 72 after a prolonged illness. Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra and other political leaders have also expressed their sorrow over Yechury's passing.
