Bollywood Mourns Anil Mehta: Malaika Arora's Father Laid to Rest

The film industry turned up in large numbers to offer their condolences as Anil Mehta, father of Bollywood actress Malaika Arora, was laid to rest at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium centre in Mumbai, on Thursday. Malaika Arora arrived at the crematorium alongside her son Arhaan Khan.
Several prominent celebrities including Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and her husband, Saif Ali Khan, were seen at the crematorium centre to pay their last respects to Malaika Arora's father. Saif Ali Khan and Karisma Kapoor made an appearance together.
Malaika Arora's ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, joined the gathering accompanied by his wife Sshura Khan. Close friend and filmmaker Farah Khan Kunder, along with her brother Sajid Khan, also attended to extend their condolences.
Actor Sohail Khan made his presence felt at the crematorium centre with his son Nirvaan Khan. Other celebrities, including Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis, and Gauhar Khan, gathered to pay their respects.
On Wednesday, Kareena Kapoor Khan, accompanied by her husband, visited Malaika Arora's residence to offer their heartfelt sympathies, visibly emotional upon arrival. The gathering epitomized a sense of grief and solidarity from the film fraternity.
Earlier on September 11, Mumbai police disclosed that Anil Mehta's death initially seemed like a suicide, though all possibilities are being investigated. DCP Crime Branch Raj Tilak Roshan confirmed the body was sent for a post-mortem, with both police and forensic teams conducting an in-depth examination.
In an Instagram statement, Malaika Arora conveyed the family's profound sorrow, describing Anil Mehta as a gentle soul and devoted family man. She requested privacy during this arduous period.
Malaika Arora was reportedly in Pune when the incident occurred and rushed back to Mumbai upon receiving the tragic news. Her ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, was present to support her during this challenging time.
