MCD Mayor Shelly Oberoi to Oversee Cleanliness and Arrangements for Ramlila Event

A delegation from the Ramlila Organising Committee met with MCD Mayor Shelly Oberoi to ensure arrangements for the upcoming Ramlila event. The mayor instructed various departments to maintain cleanliness, spray pesticides, prune trees, repair roads, and arrange lighting at the Ramlila Ground in central Delhi during the Dussehra festival.

A delegation of the Ramlila Organising Committee met with MCD Mayor Shelly Oberoi on Wednesday, urging her to facilitate necessary arrangements for the Ramlila event at the Ramlila Ground, an official statement reported.

Mayor Oberoi directed relevant departments to maintain cleanliness during the theatrical performance of the Hindu epic Ramayana, staged during the Dussehra festival. The Department of Environment Management Services has been tasked with this duty.

The statement further highlighted that the Public Health Department will be responsible for spraying pesticides and providing other arrangements like mobile dispensaries and toilets. The Horticulture Department will prune trees, decorate the stage with plants, while the Engineering Department will repair roads and arrange lighting near the stage.
