Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai has stated that the ongoing construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is likely to result in a Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue of nearly Rs 400 crore.

The exact amount will be ascertained upon completion of the construction. Rai revealed this during a public felicitation event in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The ambitious project will see the development of 18 temples within a 70-acre complex, including temples dedicated to figures such as Maharishi Valmiki, Shabri, and Tulsidas. Rai emphasized that they will pay the full tax amount without any deductions.

He also assured that the arrangement has been made to accommodate up to two lakh devotees comfortably, facilitated by the cooperation of society at large.

Rai likened the movement for the temple's construction to the 1,000-year-old struggle for India's independence, noting the significant sacrifices made by many people, their families, and relatives.

He also mentioned his visit to Bakawa village, known for producing beautiful Shivlings, to finalize a 'Shivling' for a Shiva temple that will be part of the larger complex.
