General Malik expressed his lifelong commitment to serving the nation, stating that pledging his organs allows him to extend his service even beyond his lifetime. He described the act as bringing immense satisfaction and peace.

This significant pledge was made on the final day of World Physiotherapy Month 2024 and Mission Jeevan Rekha, which marked the silver jubilee of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The event was organised by ROTTO North at PGIMER Chandigarh.
