Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday stressed that there should be 'no compromise' on nationalism, warning that those who do will face a 'spiritual backlash' from the nation.
Speaking in Gorakhpur at the inauguration of Uttar Pradesh Sainik School, Dhankhar lauded India's journey from financial crisis in the early 1990s to boasting foreign exchange reserves of USD 680 billion today. He underlined that compromising on nationalism is akin to betraying the country and cautioned against allowing such thoughts to take root.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Dhankhar highlighted the significant progress the country has made. He pointed out the abolition of Article 370 and the increased inflow of tourists to Kashmir as indicators of this change. Dhankhar also underlined India's ambitions to become a developed nation by 2047 and stressed the role educational institutions like the Sainik School will play in this journey. Adityanath, in turn, presented Dhankhar with symbolic gifts and emphasized the qualitative growth in various sectors under his leadership.
