Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Tom Hardy are set to star in the film adaptation of Jo Nesbo's crime thriller novel 'Blood on Snow.'

The movie will be under the direction of Cary Fukunaga, noted for his work on 'No Time To Die' and 'True Detective,' according to Deadline.

The story unfolds in 1970s Oslo, focusing on two rival gang leaders—Hardy's Fisherman and Taylor-Johnson's Hoffman, whose trusted hitman Olav experiences a significant internal moral struggle.

When Olav is ordered to kill Hoffman's wife, his refusal and subsequent scheming against his boss transform him from a violent enforcer to an unlikely hero amid a brewing gang war.

Hardy will also take on a producer role alongside Dean Baker, Fukunaga, Nesbo, Niclas Salomonsson, and Hayden Lautenbach.
