AIVMS Urges Public Holiday for Maharaja Agrasen's Birth Anniversary

The All India Vaishya Maha Sammelan (AIVMS) has called for a public holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Agrasen. Naresh Kumar Airan, AIVMS Delhi State President, highlighted Agrasen's contributions as a skilled ruler and peace ambassador, stressing his ideal system's relevance today.
Emphasizing the Vaishya community's economic prosperity and ongoing contributions to India's progress, Airan noted that the community worships Agrasen on his anniversary with rituals. Agrasen's principles of democratic governance, economic equality, and social justice remain crucial for societal progress, he added.
With a significant Vaishya population in Delhi, AIVMS has appealed to the government to declare a public holiday. A memorandum will be submitted to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, and Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta.
