PM Narendra Modi's Strategic Visit to Singapore for Strengthening Indo-Singapore Relations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Singapore on Wednesday for his fifth official visit to the Southeast Asian country at the invitation of his Singaporean counterpart, Lawrence Wong, following his trip to Brunei.
During the two-day visit, Modi is scheduled to receive an official welcome at the Parliament House on Thursday and will meet President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Modi expressed his enthusiasm for discussions aimed at deepening strategic ties between India and Singapore, especially in areas like advanced manufacturing, digitalization, and sustainable development.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that bilateral discussions would cover regional and global issues of mutual interest, and review the progress of the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership. Modi's delegation includes Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and other key officials. In addition to meeting the Singaporean leadership, Modi aims to engage with business leaders, the semiconductor ecosystem, and students involved in international internship programs.
